If You Want to Grow Your Medspa Using Local SEO, You Are at the Right Place
If you want to grow your medspa using local SEO techniques only, you are at the right place. I am going to teach you how to do SEO for your medspa with an example of a medspa named Healthy By Hillary. We will show you how we took them from nowhere to be found to being found by a lot of clients delivering more than 50 calls a month just from Google My Business alone, and getting more than 20 contact form messages from the website.
Last December 2024, their impressions were 85 per month. We have grown their impressions to 29,593 by February 2026. That is a 350x increase. Their monthly clicks were 15 a month. At peak, their clicks reached 269 a month an 18x increase. They are ranking for more than 1,000 queries, and almost 70-80% of them are location-based searches. All of their procedures 20 plus are ranking on page 1, positions 1 to 5.
💡 The key insight: Instead of fighting competitors with 500+ Google reviews for "medspa near me," we ranked for every individual service and procedure with geo-targeted content. Higher intent, lower competition, better patients.
The Challenge: A Clean Website with Zero Visibility
When Healthy By Hillary came to us, we did competitor research and analysis of their own website. The website was clean, but nothing was built out. There were a lot of issues with their hosting, and people were hacking their website through SQL injection and uploading malicious files. We deployed firewalls and pretty much made it very difficult for anyone to hack or upload anything malicious.
Then we started analyzing their competitors. Most of their competitors had 100 to 300 reviews. The top competitor had over 500 reviews. Since Healthy By Hillary did not have more than 10 reviews, and it would be difficult to get 50 plus reviews right away, we could not beat them on Google My Business through reviews alone.
⚠️ The review gap was massive. Competitors had 100-500+ reviews. Healthy By Hillary had fewer than 10. Fighting for "medspa near me" on Google Maps was not going to work at least not yet.
So we decided to go after content first. We started writing content for each and every service they provide. We literally wrote content for almost everything peptides before and after, copper peptides, IV therapy, semaglutide, sermorelin, and more. We built 31 brand new pages that did not exist before, and optimized dozens more.
Our Strategy: Services Over Reviews
Our strategy is simple. We create content first based on what they provide. Then we build service pages with tons of content cornerstone-type content for every treatment with
geo-modifying keywords like Wylie, Plano, and Texas. We write LinkedIn articles for backlink signals. And we optimize Google My Business by posting two to three times a week with optimized images and content.

Cornerstone Service Pages (1,500+ Words Each)
Healthy By Hillary provides hormone replacement therapy, BHRT (bioidentical hormone replacement therapy), weight loss, medical weight loss, semaglutide, tirzepatide, and aesthetics including Dysport injections, Xeomin injections, and more.
When we wrote the Xeomin page, we wrote 1,500 words covering the whole concept of Xeomin injection: what is Xeomin, how does it work, benefits, what are the areas we can treat, what to expect, cost, and FAQ questions optimized for voice search. Same approach with semaglutide, tirzepatide, peptide therapy, hormone pellets, IV therapy, and every other service.

Question-Based and Symptom Content
We were not only trying to rank for their services we were ranking for question-based content like "trouble losing weight, here is what you need to do in Plano," medical weight loss diet, how to calculate your BMI, hormone therapy for depression, peptide therapy, menopause and mental health with HRT.
We covered signs of hormonal imbalance in depth: mood swings, stubborn weight gain, hair loss, skin issues, sleep struggles, sex and reproductive issues like infertility, low libido, and vaginal dryness. We covered hidden dangers of hormonal imbalance like metabolic complications, brittle bones, and heart health hazards. Then we explained how hormonal imbalances are diagnosed through blood tests, thyroid panels, sex hormones, cortisol levels, and DUTCH testing and how hormone replacement therapy restores balance.
We were also ranking for comparison keywords like switching from Ozempic to tirzepatide, tirzepatide benefits, semaglutide versus tirzepatide which is right for you. All these keywords helped them grow a lot and beat out everyone in the location.

Multi-Platform Backlinking
We built backlinks from Medium, LinkedIn, Quora answering, and a few more link building sites. We even used Pinterest to add before-and-after images and link back to the website. We posted on Google My Business two to three times a week with optimized keywords and images.

Speed and Mobile Optimization
We optimized the whole website for faster loading times able to load within two to three seconds. When mobile users come to the website, it loads right away instead of waiting five or six seconds, which is how most competitor medspa websites load because they are not optimized for mobile users. Our faster mobile-optimized pages helped a lot 66% of all traffic comes from mobile devices.

Local Over National
Initially, our copper peptide content ranked nationally. If you Googled "copper peptide before and after," Healthy By Hillary was ranking on page one nationwide sometimes beating Healthline or even National Institutes of Health websites. But ranking nationally was bringing very low-quality leads. So we added location-based keywords to the title tags and content. We stopped chasing nationwide rankings and started seeing more clients from Plano, Wylie, Texas, and surrounding areas.

Google Business Profile Optimization
Google My Business impressions were around 3,500 when they started with us in December 2024. Now they are getting around 30,000 impressions on Google Maps alone. We post two to three times a week on GBP with optimized content, location keywords, and high-quality images of treatments and the clinic.
📊 GBP Growth: 13,900 impressions (Dec '25) → 22,500 (Jan '26) → 29,700 (Feb '26). That is a 114% increase in just 3 months with fewer than 10 reviews.

The Big Lesson: You Do Not Need 500 Reviews to Dominate Local Search
Most medspa SEO agencies will tell you to collect more reviews. And yes, reviews matter for Google Maps. But Healthy By Hillary proves there is another path one that works even when you are the new practice in town with under 10 reviews.
There are medspas in the area with more than a hundred reviews. The top competitor had 500 plus reviews. Even though they were outranking us on Google Maps, we chose the opposite approach. Instead of chasing "medspa near me" or "medspa Wylie, Texas" which pits you directly against review-heavy competitors we ranked for their services and procedures. We ranked them for specific treatments so they could get clients for those services. Instead of fighting with 500-review competitors, we opted for service-and-procedure-specific content, symptoms, and condition-based treatment pages.
They are still not ranking highly on Google Maps because they do not have a lot of reviews. But using Google SERP results alone, we got them the rankings they needed. Content beat reviews. As soon as we wrote content, we started ranking for pages we did not promote much, like IV therapy. We went from 10 calls a month to over 100 calls for IV therapy alone even though we were not trying very hard on that page. Cumulatively, across all content posted for Healthy By Hillary, we were getting anywhere from 50 to 60 calls a month, depending on the month and season.
✅ The bottom line: Content beat reviews. 50-60 calls a month, 20+ contact form submissions, patients booking specific procedures all from organic search. No paid ads. No shortcuts. Just deep, authoritative content for every service page, optimized for the locations that matter.
